πΌStroller
City streets and temple areas are not stroller-friendly β footpaths are narrow, cracked, or nonexistent. Mall interiors are smooth and air-conditioned and work well. A carrier is essential for outdoor exploration and the night markets.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Locals are incredibly warm toward babies and children. Mild noodle soups, sticky rice, fresh tropical fruit, and simple grilled chicken are easy toddler wins. Many cafes in Nimmanhaemin cater directly to families.
π‘οΈSafety
Very safe by regional standards with a relaxed, community feel. The main concern is the burning season from February to April when air quality (AQI) can reach hazardous levels β avoid this period entirely with young children.
π₯Hospitals
Chiang Mai Ram Hospital and Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai both have English-speaking staff and solid emergency care. For serious cases, a flight to Bangkok is standard practice.
