πΌStroller
Ubud's hilly terrain, rice terrace paths, and temple steps make strollers almost useless outside villa grounds and a handful of flat cafe strips. A quality carrier is non-negotiable. Most villas have smooth grounds where a stroller works for daytime naps.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Ubud has one of the best cafe scenes in Southeast Asia with many places offering dedicated kids menus, high chairs, and healthy food options β smoothie bowls, rice dishes, and fresh fruit are everywhere. Cafe Wayan and Locavore are particularly family-welcoming.
π‘οΈSafety
Safer and more relaxed than south Bali, but tap water is not safe and mosquitoes carrying dengue fever are present year-round. Monkeys at Monkey Forest can be aggressive β keep children close and don't carry food. Medical care is limited locally.
π₯Hospitals
BIMC has a clinic in Ubud for minor cases but limited emergency capacity. For serious issues, Siloam Hospital Denpasar is about 1.5 hours away. Travel insurance with medical evacuation cover is essential.
