🚼Stroller
Hoi An's Ancient Town has narrow lanes and uneven surfaces that can challenge strollers. The beach resort areas at An Bang and Cua Dai are flat and manageable with a lightweight stroller. Cycling is the iconic way to get around and many hotels provide bikes with child seats.
🍽️Food & Eating
Hoi An is one of Vietnam's best culinary destinations. Cao lau noodles, white rose dumplings, Banh Mi, and fresh spring rolls are outstanding toddler foods. The restaurant scene is very international-friendly and prices are remarkably affordable by any standard.
🛡️Safety
Generally safe for tourists. Traffic in the Ancient Town is managed but on highways outside the area it can be chaotic. Flooding can occur in the rainy season (October–December). Tap water not safe — bottled water throughout.
🏥Hospitals
Medical facilities in Hoi An are very limited. The nearest competent private hospital is in Da Nang (30 minutes) — Da Nang Family Medical Practice has English-speaking staff. For serious cases, evacuation to Ho Chi Minh City or Bangkok is expected.
