🚼Stroller
Paris's wide boulevards are great for strollers but the Metro is notoriously inaccessible — only a handful of lines have full lift access. The RER and bus are better bets with a stroller. Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, and most major parks (Tuileries, Luxembourg) are well suited for strollers.
🍽️Food & Eating
Paris can feel less child-relaxed than southern Europe — formal restaurants may be less welcoming to toddlers at dinner. Boulangeries and the abundance of crêpe stands are excellent for quick toddler-friendly meals. Seek out casual bistros rather than fine dining when travelling with young children.
🛡️Safety
Safe overall but Paris has a well-documented pickpocketing problem around the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, and the Metro. Keep bags closed and valuables secured. Certain outer arrondissements are best avoided after dark — stick to the central tourist areas.
🏥Hospitals
Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades is one of Europe's most renowned children's hospitals. The American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine has English-speaking staff and handles paediatric walk-ins for international visitors with travel insurance.
