🚼Stroller

Vancouver is exceptionally stroller-friendly — the seawall (22km of paved waterfront) is one of the world's great stroller walks. Stanley Park, Granville Island, and the downtown core are flat and accessible. The SkyTrain has full lift access throughout.

🍽️Food & Eating

Granville Island Public Market is a toddler paradise with diverse food stalls, ample space, and play areas nearby. Vancouver's Asian food scene is outstanding and casual restaurants are completely relaxed about children.

🛡️Safety

Very safe overall. The Downtown Eastside has a visible drug crisis and is best avoided with young children. Stanley Park, Kitsilano, and North Shore areas are consistently safe family zones. Summer is glorious — mild, sunny, and perfect for outdoor family life.

🏥Hospitals

BC Children's Hospital in Cambie is one of Canada's leading paediatric hospitals. Vancouver General Hospital has a strong paediatric emergency department. All emergency care is covered by the Canadian public system for emergency visits.
